Wellywave was established in Hsinchu Science Park in 2021 , focuses on compound semiconductor process development and professional foundry services. The Company provides manufacturing solutions for microwave and high-speed communication applications, supported by a highly customizable process platform that flexibly addresses diverse and rapidly evolving market demands.

Amid the continued growth of AI data centers and high-speed optical communications, Wellywave has been incorporated into the group structure of Global Communication Semiconductors (GCS) through a capital investment. GCS possesses leading III-V compound semiconductor technologies and volume production experience, with a strong focus on key optical communication components such as continuous wave (CW) lasers and high-speed photodiodes (PD).

Through the integration of group resources, Wellywave leverages GCS’s strengths in device design and productization, while applying its own expertise in process development and manufacturing services. This synergy significantly enhances development efficiency and production flexibility, while accelerating the industrialization of high-speed optical communication technologies.

Looking ahead, Wellywave will continue to strengthen its core process capabilities and, under the strategic direction of GCS, reinforce its role as a key manufacturing partner in the high-speed optical communication value chain, steadily advancing toward a leading integrated platform for compound semiconductor manufacturing.
